RRR Movie Script

RRR – Roudram Ranam Rudhiram is a Telugu period action drama movie direction by S. S. Rajamouli with K. V. Vijayendra Prasad’s writing. The movie RRR star cast includes Jr. NTR and Ram Charan alongside Ajay Devgn and Alia Bhatt in extended cameo appearances while Samuthirakani, Alison Doody, Ray Stevenson, Olivia Morris and Shriya Saran play supporting roles. The movie was produced by D. V. V. Danayya under the banner DVV Entertainments. The music for movie was composed by M. M. Keeravani with cinematography by K. K. Senthil Kumar and editing by A. Sreekar Prasad. V. Srinivas Mohan supervised the visual effects.

RRR Movie Release Date

The film was released theatrically on 25 March 2022, and opened to positive reviews from the critics with praise for the performances and screenplay. With ₹240 crore worldwide on its first day, RRR broke the record for the highest opening-day collection earned by an Indian film. During the weekend of 25–31 March 2022, the film occupied the first position at the global box office with a gross of 700 crore.

It has been a rejoicing week for every moviegoer in India and diaspora, thanks to the release of the most awaited magnum opus film, SS Rajamouli’s ‘RRR’, a thoughtful amalgamation of fiction and history. At the box office, RRR made a whopping amount of Rs 500 crores (worldwide) on the opening weekend alone, which is the highest ever in Indian cinema history. And since it hit theatres on March 25, the film has been shattering all the possible box-office records. As per trade analysts, so far, the film has minted over Rs 600 crores (worldwide) and is currently marching towards entering the Rs 700 crore club.

As for the Hindi version of ‘RRR’, if the trend over the last few days is any indication, SS Rajamouli’s film will enter the Rs 200-crore club within a week of its release. RRR (Hindi) ended the first week at the box office with Rs 131 crore in earnings. And while the film got a lukewarm response in the Hindi belt on the day of its release, the film picked up quite well in the coming days and has been steady through the weekdays.

RRR Story Plot:

RRR movie is a fictitious story based on two legendary freedom fighters, Alluri Seetharamaraju and Komaram Bheem. Set in the 1920’s. The movie unveils both of them away from home (In Delhi) before they started fighting for the country.

Police officer Alluri Sitarama Raju takes up the challenge of catching Bheem in order to get a promotion. He attends a meeting of independence activists and proposes to assassinate Scott. As their goals seem to align, Bheem’s aide Lachhu asks Ram to join them. However, he flees after sensing that Ram is a police officer. Lachhu tells Bheem about this who asks him to hide.

RRR’s week one earnings are ahead of any Hindi film that was released during the pandemic. It has surpassed the collections of Akshay Kumar’s ‘Sooryavanshi’ and that of ‘The Kashmir Files’. ‘Sooryavanshi’ did a little over Rs 120 crore business at the end of the first week, while ‘The Kashmir Files’ had collected a little below Rs 100 crore.

RRR Casting:

In March 2019, Rajamouli finalized the cast. The film marks the Telugu debut citation needed] of Ajay Devgn and Alia Bhatt. Bhatt was paired opposite Charan in the role of Sita, while Devgn would have an extended cameo. Tamil actor Samuthirakani was roped in to play a crucial role. British actress Daisy Edgar-Jones was signed to be paired opposite Rama Rao,however, she left the project in April 2019 citing personal reasons.Olivia Morris was cast as her replacement in November 2019.

The film was theatrically released across the globe last week in IMAX, IMAX 3D, 3D, and Dolby Sound. “RRR” was initially scheduled for theatrical release on July 30, 2020, but was delayed several times due to production delays and the COVID-19 pandemic.
